Hi, wondered if anyone could help. The toilet had been flushing fine, but last night just didn't anymore. I have to go to hospital for an op and can't get a plumber out in time but will need full use of the loo :/ I am not sure if someone has any ideas how I can try and fix this myself before I go to hospital? Basically, the cistern seems to have no water in it. Before last night, there was no issue (been here almost 3 weeks too) and the flush was fairly powerful.

Thank you so much to anyone who can help (or has taken the time to read this) :)

Float valve may be stuck. Try pushing the float on the left hand side of the cistern down and see if the water starts flowing.

Your second and third picture is worrying! The button on the lid should be detached from the flushing valve before removing!!!!!

It seems you may now have 2 problems  ;)

Thanks TCCHeating! Haha yes that was my partner who had yanked it off :/ I managed to get it back into place after unscrewing it from the button, and unstuck the floating valve (thanks for that :)) and now it works fine!
