Hi all,

I need to source a new push button for a toilet cistern.

It currently has a dual flush button on the ceramic "lid" that i very difficult to push down. On closer inspection I discovered that someone had replaced the push rods on the underside with screws. I assume that the rods snapped at some time.

I can't quite work out why the lid has a dual flush button, the cistern seems to be a single flush.

The original was branded as an Armitage Shanks, will a generic single push button suffice? Additionally, when I push down on the white disk in the last image, it take a bit more pressure than I would have thought normal. Is there anything that could be helped with a dab of silicone grease?

Thanks in advance.

Some short flush by holding button in until water stops while long flush is push and let go.
