citreon dispatch disel fuel pump replacement.

I have a citreon dispatch, at the moment its a non starter. I have been told by rescue its a lazy fuel pump. I have a couple of questions if anyone could answer I would be greatful.
1, is the fuel pump located in the engine ?
2, would the car need to be cranked up to remove ( if located in the engine)
3, is it a job that can be done with basic tools and in a short period of time ?

Depending on the age of your van, there could be one pump in the fuel tank (accessible enough) and one injection pump, bolted to the engine side and driven by a timing belt.....this one needs specialist knowledge to replace, I'm afraid.
