Citreon relay 1.9 D van..

I have just bought a 1994 citreon relay van its had a recon engine and runs well. The only problem I have is starting it when its cold!!! It takes quite a while and a lot of turning over to get it to fire up. But once it has started and its been running a while then theres no problem starting it. Any ideas what it could be? I gave it a service yesterday new oil. filter, and air-filter (There was no air filter in it !!!) I have got a fuel filter to put in it but a bit unsure about having to bleed it afterwards....Any ideas on the starting problem would be appreciated...Thanks...

sounds like you need a new set of glow plugs
