There's a few fine cracks in my render but I was thinking of cladding over it anyway for a couple of reasons 1. the cladding is pretty solid but not a level clean look and 2. to improve insulation, rather than take 'space' off internally plus move sockets out etc.
Good or bad idea?
What would I do around the windows as the lintels would be set back after battening and putting the cladding on.
I don't want to carry it on around the corner of the building (only the face end) would I use a right angle trim o something similar to finish it off?
What would the procedure be regarding vapour barrier/membrane ( I presume) and what would be the best insulation to use (and thickness).
Would this affect any future valuation i.e ring any alarm bells?
It's a mid-terraced house
Thanks
