Hello All Please tell me : How do u stop wasps etc making nests behind the cladding if you leave gaps between the boards ?

Is it a non problem ? Do u fit on top of mesh ?

Wifey loves the look of the thin board and gap but it just looks like a wasp home everywhere to me .

Thanks in Advance

You can get fly mesh to wrap the building before you apply the cladding. It is stapled onto the framework and the cladding is then nailed on, making sure that you overlap and the the joins run in the same direction as the cladding laths. Not long finished doing this on a commercial building (circa 10,000 square feet on 3 floors) where the whole building was clad with larch laths

Not seen a wasps nest behind cladding they need a lot of room . Sometimes get a few hibernating .
