Hi all
just about to do some downpipe work using pipe cement.
It says to clean off any excess, what should I use ( and to clean off any dried bits I missed?
White spirit, acetone, petrol, meths ( add some oranges juice and thats a helluva coctail!
Thanks in advance

Try to use minimum amount of solvent weld cement possible is real answer.
Twist together as you assemble if its fall pipes I would only use on off sets not on downward sections.
Makes it easier to take apart if required.

thanks for the reply, but even on the instructions it says clean off excess but doesnt say with what.

They just mean to wipe off any gloopy snots with an old towel or whatever.

Hardly required unless you've been over-liberal with glue.

No solvents required..
