cleaning putty

Ive just put some glass in a new door frame and am currently waiting for the putty to harden before giving it the final coat of paint. Im wondering what the best way to clean off all the putty marks (thumbprints etc) from both the glass and the wood.

Im worried that if I let it all go hard then I'll never get it off - the glass is frosted too so its a bit engrained.

Any tips??
