Hi,

I would like some advice on cleaning our house. Its a stone building with a fair amount of algae, lichen etc growing on the walls and slate roof. I was thinking of simply using a pressure washer to remove as much as possible (That seems to be the most popular solution).

Should there be any chemicals used or would water do the job. I was going to hire the pressure washer.

Thanks

I find Jeyes Fluid is usually good for removing algae and dirt from paving stones and stone walls. Use a hard brush to scrub it in then hose it off.
