I have just recently installed a magnaclean to my return pipe beneath my boiler, but before installing it, I cleaned all the radiators of sludge by taking them into the garden and flushing them out using a hose pipe. I have never power flushed or cleaned my radiators for 20 years, but have only flushed the central heating system of water when a few things needed replacing or when the boiler needed repair. I have also added 3 new radiators back in June 2004 due to an extensions.

I'd expect my radiators to be cured and the same temperature all over by now (from top to bottom), but theres not been much of a change, what would you recommend?

I'm thinking, If I used a drill set on hammer mode to vibrate the radiators this would make the sludge more loose? would this help?

thank you for your suggestions :D

get a Poweflush done it will remove far more C**P than any other method (as long as it is done properly)

Yeah, thats what I thought about doing before, but these days we're all facing money crisis, I'd rather save money than spend it, as i've lost my job and only have the job as an electricien. I have thought about powerflushing tho, If I did do a powerplush, whats the cheapest price I could have it done at.

Also, can powerflushing machines be hired?

I can only reply to the bottom bit.

Yes Powerflush machines can be hired. HSS do them I think it will be about £60 tops.
