I am fitting a mixer shower in my bathroom. This will work off a shower pump installed in my airing cupboard. The problem is that the clearance from the shower head to the bottom of the cold water tank is less than 1 meter. Are there any other solutions to get me around this problem other than raising the height of the cold tank in the attic thus having to extend the pipes into it etc. :?: Also is it ok to run the pipes from my shower pump back up into the attic and then down into the bathroom where the mixer will be situated

If the auto flow switch(es) don't work you may either need a "negative head pump", or to arrange an air switch or non-latching pullcord switch which gets the pump started, after which it will go ok.

Often you can get the pump started by just lowering the shower head though.
