Cleva Lawnmaster collection box flap conundrum !!!

Have you got some soft foam rubber lying around? I wonder if shaping up a gasket from it would help bridge any gaps and keep the grass from flying out even if the flap is an ill fit

Can you hold the flap open and take more photos of the flap hinges and where the grass bin mounts onto the machine

Can you take a video (have to host on YouTube or Vimeo etc and post a link) of the flap opening and closing?

Small child sat to hold that flap closed would be one solution?

A screw or two to hold it in place would be a pita for emptying but...
Perhaps a bungy around the black handle and a screw or two in the orange lid would work to close it more?

I'm looking at doing something along those lines, not 100% sure quite what though.

Interested to know if the flap could be made to fit better by heating it up and reshaping it; does it fit over that black rib if pressed, or is it more like the grass bin doesn’t go on far enough and the flap ends up sitting on top of the rib rather than next to it?

Does it work as expected if held in place? If so, toggle clamps. That's what keeps my oven door shut!

Adds somewhat of a faff to taking the grass bin off though.

Really? These things - fingertip operation, takes less than a second to open or close.

A rubber t-handle latch might be a better option.
