Don't the dark brown eggs have a richer yellow oak?

The blue eggs? Why are they blue?
The thing with yolk colour is that some are fed dyes that add colour to the yolk o_O

With roam free birds the the yolk should change colour throughout the year reflecting what they have been pecking at and naturally finding throughout the seasons.

I went to a pet shop in Australia that was selling yellow and blue Budgies.
A little notice read that the origin of the Budgie was the UK.

Budgies are naturally Green with a mix of Yellow and black.

Your all like sheep jumping on the back of each other.

The Egg joke are as funny as an episode of friends.

Most of the "free range" hens don't leave the shed most of the time.

They have shelter, food and warmth there, they stay indoors.

Battery eggs are awful, I've seen footage of the systems and it's basically animal torture. But I'm happy buying the barn types, where they get to wander about a big shed.

Free roam birds don't lay all the year round, you'll be lucky to get any eggs from a free roam bird during the months with shorter days. It's the lengthening of the days that triggers the birds to start laying. When the days shorten, they go off the lay.

I used to keep chickens, one of them used to lay blue eggs.
It came from a brood that I reared, none of the other birds from that brood laid blue eggs. All the birds were free to go wherever they wanted and they all ate they same stuff. I had to conclude that feeding or breeding wasn't what was producing the blue eggs.
