Hmm.

Following a profile time setting change, submitted then revisited.

See below a snapshot of 'Profile' Timezone and Dateformat boxes, with the resultant Forum Index time, at actual GMT +1 (Spring(forward) time ) of 06:33

I am, quietly, suggesting the Profile 'TimeZone' and 'Date format' data is out of synch...

All times are not always what they seem !
 :D

The day after the clocks changed (about midday) I started a post, along the lines of, we usually have people telling us the time is wrong, but I changed my mind.

It always happens.....If someone were clever in the DIYNOT Marketing Dept. they would try & sell an add, advising people what to do & the various links to THEIR PRODUCTS.

I don't know why you're only suggesting it - they're clearly out of synch, but (a) it has no impact on anything whatsoever, and (b) this isn't what the OP was referring to.

Did someone post ?

All post times are given as set in one's profile timezone

In the Uk we just need GMT+1hour when the 'Spring forward' to BST occurs and a 'Fall back' to GMT in the autumn.
If your No(u)tters  'Profile' date format box is displaying your preferred format, accept that and forget the actual figures shown.

When is British Summer Time (BST) in force this year?
2006: Sunday March 26 01:00 GMT - Sunday October 29 01:00 GMT (02:00 BST)
UK Standard Time = GMT
UK Summer Time = BST (British Summer time) = GMT+1

No - less please; much less.

What I will mostly be doing next week is setting my diynot clock to minus 8 hours and then pretending I am on holiday in California. Hope it's warm!

I can see why you'd say that, I really can, but I'm a big softie at heart.

Good thinking! How goes it for you this fine Spring morning?
