Hi,
My friend has just had a Worcester Bosch combination boiler fitted in the airing cupboard, replacing the floor standing unit in the kitchen. The position on the old one was on the right hand side of the chimney breast, and the new one is actually fitted to the chimney breast in the airing cupboard, almost directly above.
When the hot water or shower is turned on, the pipes clunk gently in quick succession (no matter what item is turned on). When they're turned off, they do it again. I know it's nothing compared to some of the problems you get in here but, frankly, it's b. irritating.
She has had the WB engineer out, and he declared that they all do that because it's the soleniod.
Well, mine's a 1 year old one, and it doesn't make a murmour.
So, is it a solenoid or is it a ducking exercise by WB?
I thought I'd ask the experts, since you have more knowledge imho.
Thanks
Geoff
