co2 readings

I recently had my oil burner serviced. On the information i was given the co2 is 11 is this a save amount and what are the danger levels

Thats a pretty good average, mate but each appliance has its own CO2 settings available from the boiler manufacturer. Settings generally range between 10.5% and 12% CO2.

CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) is not a dangerous gas, 11% is text book for most oil burners

CO (Carbon Monoxide) IS dangerous however and is mesured in parts per million (ppm) this is the figure on your print out that you should be looking at on an oil burner less than 80ppm is desireable, however on older boilers the CO level can reach 200-300ppm :wink:
