Hi,

after researching I’ve started building doors to my coal bunker (presume the old ones rotted off as they were gone when I got here)

I’ve built a frame from 2 by 2 and screwed into the brickwork - see pic

I let the top of the old frame in and built below as it’s attached to the lintel and i don’t want to disturb it.

so, all went well but the post on the right

It wobbles - this is because I (stupidly didn’t put anything behind it (there’s a small gap - I can’t go directly up to the brick.

To make matters worse one of the screws heads is knackered so I can’t get it out.

What would you do? Slide some thin wood in? Put another 2 b 2 behind it and butt up?

the other side is fine.

I was thinking putting compo in behind and waiting for it to set.

ideas welcome
