Hi All,

Recently had some plumbing work carried out and the first plumber installed cock stops to isolate the water for the first floor and loft.

Another plumber turned up and mentioned stop cocks are not full bore and better of using full bore lever valves.

The third plumber said stop cocks are full bore.......

Im totaly confused, is it better to use stop cocks or level full bores as I do not want to loose much pressure in the loft........

The plumber who said stopcocks are full bore was .....A Gas Fitter

Brass stopcocks are as near as dammit full bore, I tend to use full bore lever valves myself though these days.
Stopcocks can be rewashered, but lever valves, should they choose to leak, can't.....
John :)
