We had Amtico fitted last March in our Study, Hall and cloakroom. Floors are concrete and we screeded before the Amtico was fitted. As this is our first full winter with Amtico, I have noticed that the hallway especially is cold underfoot.

When we decorate / sort out the kitchen we were thinking of putting Amtico down in there as well. But I am now having second thoughts due to the coldness of the hallway. Is there any sort of insulation that can be added before laying Amtico? Can underfloor heating be used with Amtico?

Thanks

steer clear of underfloor heating. The only insulation you will feel the benefit of is if you fitted on a jumpax system. But the floor will be the same as a floating floor after like laminate.
