I have separate taps on my bathroom sink and the cold tap only turns a small amount and the water barely runs out BUT if I run around underneath the top of the tap/turning mechanism (just above the thread) with a toothbrush or around the thread, inside the body of the tap, with a tooth flosser (strange I know) it then turns on perfectly, with full force... until the next time I go to use the tap again. Each time I have to go through the same rigmarole to get the water to flow.
