We have a large airing cupboard in a very old house. The airing cupboard has always smelt musty. I have been doing some plumbing in the cupboard and found that the cold feed pipes are sweating very heavily. I know that insulation will cure this BUT, there is a multitude of bends and Ts so I know I will never get the rigid foam tight enough to form a proper seal. I was wondering if a former (to hold it) and expanding foam could be the solution?
The other solution I was wondering about was to vent the cupboard via a bit of 40mm waste to the fascia, just to stop the air being "dead".
