Hi does anyone out there know which is better ?..... The Coldstream or Altecnic ultra, mains cold water accumulators. I know the Coldstream is more expensive but does this mean its better long term value ??.
I understand the Altra has a replacable diaphram, is this also the case with the Coldstream 500?? would appreciate any feedback on this.

thanks saulw

Nothing to choose between them, the Coldstrem uses a high quality vessel, so the diaphragm shouldn't fail, the altecnic does have a replaceable diaphragm, but you would have to remove the vessel to an area where you could make a mess! (Water & sludge) I know iv'e had to change a few!

Personally I would go with the unit that has dimensions that fit your needs

Thanks Boilerman2, would you therefore say the coldstream has less chance of diaphragm trouble, in your experience ?. Should the Coldstream diaphragm need replacing is this possible ? or would it just need cleaning ?. Have been quoted £870 for the Altecnic and £200 more for the Coldstream. Must say the Coldstream seems to have a better spec !. Size is not a problem as I am building a housing to suit.

Thanks again Saulw
