Hi, we have very dark beams around the outside of our house and we want to get the place double glazed as the current windows are very draughty, but the colour of the woodwork doesn't match any of the normal brown plastics we have seen. Is it possible to get UPVC windows stained to match the woodwork? If so, what does this invove and is it likely to be ridiculously expensive? Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get a dark brown or even black window profile. Many companies don't normally do it as its not often requested, but its available

Thanks for that - the 'problem' we have is that the house has dark wood beams around it so we need the windows to match the beams as they do at the moment. I wondered about staining as presumably we would be able to get a better colour match? It looks as if there are plenty of colour options about in any case!
