Colouring driveway bricks

Does anyone know a method of painting or staining driveway bricks red, without having to do it every year (due to the paint flaking off)? Thought of boot polish/food dye. Any ideas?

strip the paint off maybe sand blast it, otherwise you will have the same problem every few years.
