Hey, we have had planning permission granted so our 4 bed 1 bath is soon to be 6 bed 3 bath :)

we currently have a Vaillant 834? I think which is around 5 years old still has 5 years warranty left so was trying to keep hold of this and add a water cylinder to it

Is this possible?

Or would I be better keeping it and getting an additional system boiler?

I'm fed up with getting a shower and then someone turning a kitchen tap on or watering the garden and the shower dropping in pressure so trying to alleviate this issue.

Thanks.

Assuming bigger the better? I see Vallaint do a 300lt Unvented would that suffice.

@iateyoubutler what make did you go for?
I don`t know on that one. This was 10 years or so ago. I had a Vaillant combi and added a traditional vented hot water cylinder/header tank. I was fed up with wasting gallons of cold water while the boiler was firing up and sorting it`s life out. The cylinder solved the problem nicely

Unless you're also going to buy all the Vaillant controls, buying a Vaillant cylinder is pointless. Joule Cyclone cylinders are great quality at a reasonable price. Get one that is the correct size for your hot water requirements. Bigger is not better for running costs
