I need to replace my kitchen tap and I would like to get the kind that has a pull-out sprayer and a single lever on it. We have a combi boiler -- does that require the kind of tap with two handles to keep the pressure up? I dimly recall having some trouble with installing the current one and having to swap the hot and cold sides to make it fit but I don't know if that's an actual problem.

As long as your mains water pressure is ok then there shouldn't be an issue. Ensure the one you buy either comes with check valves or the plumber fits them.
