Combi boiler CH - fine, hot water - fine apart from bath tap

Hi there,

I'm new here so be kind .

I have a baxi 80HE Plus combi boiler of unknown age which works fine apart from one thing!! It should be noted that the water pressure appears good.

The central heating is fine, so was the hot water but now the bath tap runs hot then goes cold and stays cold!! All other hot taps and showers etc run hot and stay hot. Very confused....

Any help would be appreciated.

boiler will have overheated and is cooling down hence cold water going through

Turn the bath tap on one complete turn only and report back.

Is it hot or cold.

Turning the bath tap on only a little appears to give me consistent hot water!

The tap is one of those quarter turn from off to full on. There are 2 tap heads one for hot one for cold, the water then goes to a central join where there is a shower diverter, then on to to the single tap exit into the bath. I will try to post a picture.
