Can anyone possibly take a stab at naming this boiler for me please?

It's an elderly couple I know, trying to do them a favour, as their plumber doesn't seem bothered to finish the job... yes he fitted the big red vessel!

The boiler is losing pressure (when off) and needs refilling. Once filled up to 2 bar there is a slight leak.
I think it's the PRV (or is it?)

As there is no markings, I can't identify it... would like to see if it's worth fixing or binning.

TIA

Why 2 bar?

What make you suspect the prv?

Do you know what you are doing?

You shouldn't be filling to 2 bar...1 bar should be sufficient for most systems.
Your picture doesn't work...can't see it.

FWIW the boiler won't operate unless it's around 1.5 Bar...

It's not my boiler, the owner was told by the plumber to set to 2 bar.

That's because the the plumber is no heating engineer. It sounds like it has a water pressure switch that has gone out of calibration (the switch-point moves upwards on the cheap ones) and either needs re-setting or replacement.
