Combi boiler issue

Hey

I wonder if anyone can offer some advice. My combi boiler isn't providing any hot water.

The pressure is fine, the thermostat up. It's on, electricity is supplied and pilot lit it's only 3 years old. The gauge on the front is saying 20 degrees but doesn't go above this.

Is there any obvious thing I could check prior to calling someone out to take a look?

It really isn't.

Either it's 17 years old or it does not have a pilot light.

Is it a Wooshitter Botch by any chance?

Sorry by pilot light I meant the electric one on the screen - I assume it indicates it's running.

It's a Vaillant ecoTech plus 831.

Run a tap and press the i button, make a note of the S numbers and post back.

Your condensate pump is guffed. Assuming you have one. Time to call an engineer.

Which in the manual says Flue non- return flap or condensate pump fault.

You have a problem with either your flue or your condensate system. One for the pros I'm afraid
