Hello All,
Our old combi boiler seems to be getting worse in it's old age (about 10 years ), at the moment we do not have running hot water down stairs, the water flows from the hot tap but the boiler fails to heat it, it just seems to light up and then go out (pilote light does stay on) and repeats this as long as the down stairs hot tap is on. If we put the heating on then we get constant hot water from the tap. It also makes a lot of popping noises after use which as we live in a hard water area I guess is a build up of lime scale.
Would flushing and cleaning the system be a good idea as I believe it has never been done ever !
Cold water seems to have good pressure,
cheers
Benno
