Hi All

I moved into a new house a month or so ago and only now decided to figure out the functions on the combi-boiler. So far I’ve controlled the heating using the Drayton thermostat in the living room, whereby I can set the level at which I want the heating to come on.

Anyway, I read all through the user manual about the timer function for the heating and i was 99% sure that i understood it; however, when i did a test run the heater wouldn't activate at the time i set.

My question is this: is it possible that the drayton thermostat is overriding/interfering with the timer settings on the combi? Do I need to disable or adjust the settings on the thermostat so that I can use the combi‘s full range of functions?

Apologies if this seems a silly question, but your help is much appreciated....

thanks

Its probably a "yes" that you dont understand how the controls operate.

First the timer ALLOWS the boiler to give heating during the set periods!

Second the boiler only fires up IF the house is colder than the room stat is set to!
