Hi, My GloWorm SwiftFlo 120 has stopped firing up!

Pilot light is lit, but the boiler won't light up for either CH or hot water.

It tries to fire up, fan starts, green "running" light comes on, but then it appears that a relay "clicks" (you can hear it) and the fan stops, green light goes out. At no stage do the main burners light. This happens continuously (every few seconds) until you stop the hot tap running or switch the CH off.

Any ideas as to what it is, and more importantly is this a job for a plumber or can I do this myself?

Many Thanks, TT

It sounds as if it may be a problem with the fan/venturi/APS device.

However, this is really a job for a CORGI registered boiler engineer.

Keep the plumber for your water supplies and bathroom!

Thanks.

When I said plumber, I mean't a CORGI chap, as all plumbers seem to be registered around here!!

I would still recommend using someone who specialises in boilers as they will have more experience of repairing boilers than someone who spends more time fitting bathrooms and just does a little heating installation.
