Hi
I've had a new central heating system installed with a Vaillant ecoTec Combi boiler, the problem is that the hot water is only warm. as I don't live at the property I don't use it regularly and it could have been left for a week or 2. I'm pretty sure it was hot when first installed. I've turned the mains off a couple of times, not sure if it's relevant.

Thanks for any help

Turn cold mains off under boiler and see if water stops coming out of the hot tap.. :?: If it dont suspect shower mixer crossing over
Get installer back if its new

Which ecotec is it?

Switching off mains shouldn't affect anything. What have you set the hw temp to on the digital display? I always leave mine set at 55C. You need to be with the boiler for any further help.

What does your installer say about it?

We're at cross purposes here  I am meaning and thought op was meaning electric mains, you are obviously meaning cold mains.

Hi
Yes I meant cold water mains, I have a shower fitted but it's not up and running yet. I'm not with the boiler at the moment but any pointers you can give me would be great. I think its a eco tec plus it's the one for LPG.

Thanks

Also I've set temp to Max Which is 69 degrees i think

They can all be set for LPG, but i assume you mean the 831 that can be ordered preset as LPG. God knows why anyone buys these preset as it is only a 5 min job to convert and is £30 less to buy

Go along with Ashes suggestions, also since closing stop tap have you now opened it more than before so pressure is greater? Has it been commissioned properly with a FGA?

Thanks for the suggestions, Whats FGA ??
The shower is just hot and cold into mixer then out to shower head, not sure where crossover can come??

Thanks everyone, I'll check these idears out, one last thing what does a
shower mixer crossing over mean???

Your responses are tending to indicate that it has not been properly installed by a CORGi registered person otherwise you would have called him to investigate under his guarantee.
