We have a Potterton Performa 28i.

I noticed the pressure was down, just under .5 bar so I topped it up to 1.5, but over shot and it continued to 2.6 Bar

I thought no problem and and went around the rads & lets some air and water out of them all and it settle down to 2.4 which it still high..

The working pressure is 3 bar and that's a little close for me, but I can seemed to get it to 1.5.

When I tried the pressure release inside it got it down to 1.5 but it went back to 2.4.

How do I get it down by 1 Bar..

Any help

Thanks

If you mean that you opened the PRV in the boiler, it's not advisable. Crud from inside the heating system can lodge in the PRV's seating and cause it to leak. Best left alone, as it's there as a safety device.
