Hi Guys,

flat with a combination cylinder, indirect hot water, heating is all working fine, however no water at all comes out of the hot taps, not even cold.

Water in cylinder is heating up OK and the 'header' tank is full (thought maybe this has closed faulty not giving head of pressure)

Could this be an airlock in the system? A plumber has told them a new cylinder is required, but I really doubt this

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Many thanks

Sorry, forgot to say this bit!

The hot outlet pipe from the cylinder is hot for about 3 inches, then the pipe is cold the rest of the way......if this helps at all?

Perhaps there has been something fallen in the header and now blocked the fill pipe between the header and the cylinder.

thanks for the reply Dave, I had already checked this and I can get a thin object quite a distance down the tube so dont think it that.

Cheers

Try a hose connected from a cold mains tap to a hot tap and turn both on. If it is an airlock or sligt blockage then this often will push it back into the cylinder.
