I can find changeover switches that switch between two supplies - say mains and a generator - to serve a single load, but none that use a single supply and switch between loads - for example between two high current showers, and that also isolate them. So, in this example, a three position switch, 0 for isolation of supply, 1 for shower 1, and 2 for shower 2.

I appreciate that there may be other ways to achieve this e.g. through contactors, but is a mechanically operated system, as described above, available for domestic use?

are you aware you can get shower priority switches, which automatically allow only 1 shower to be used at a time ?

So it's the same switch, just involves wiring the supply to the load and the loads as the supplies?
