Hello

I am interested to find out if these two can be combined, if so when will it be best time to do it.

I have put in a full planning application for my house for
1) a single storey side and part single part double rear extensions (wrap around extension).
2) and wanted to do a hip to gable with loft conversion.

Beacuse the full planning application will not be granted for hip to gable and loft conversion (item 2) on a semi-detached house if the adjoining property still has a hipped roof. I have to do the above in two stages.

Planning permission for item 1) has been granted but has not been built or completed. I am wondering if I can now put in a CLD (certificate of lawful development) for the hip-to-gable and loft conversion based on the APPROVED plans of item 1), or do I have to wait for the building works to be completed then put in the CLD as EXISTING?

I wish to put in the CLD application now to save time and ensure this will go through before starting the building works.

If there any planning rule that I can't not use the APPROVED PLANS (but not built) when making a further application?

Thanks in advance!!

generally you cannot do permitted development works at the same time as implementing a planning permission. do them separately

thanks Cjard.
I am aware of the works can't be carried out at the same time, but my question was can I put in the CLD application based on the approved plan. Is this acceptable in the application stage.
Thanks.
