I have posted some silly questions before on this forum but this may be the ultimate! A friend has given my kids his old Compaq Mini which is in perfect working order. The kids want to gon online with it so i have purchased a Linksys Wireless Network USB Adaptor so they can connect to our home network. Took the cd out of the packaging but there is no cd drive on the Notebook to slot the cd into. Not sure where to go now as im not very tech savvy! Have had in the past some excellent advice on this terrific forum so hope someone can help now. Thankyou

Open the control panel on a different computer >folder options >View and click "show hidden folders" >OK.
place the disk in this other computer, place a usb pen drive in a usb slot,
open the disk, copy (draw a box around everything on the cd) and drag it to the usb drive. place the usb drive into the compac mini and copy the contents to a "new folder" on the desktop, you should be able to run the install/setup.exe from there.
