Hiya all - had a burst about 8 months ago- fixed with compression fittings etc - dad changed a bit of pipe work - (only a tiny bit) bend as it comes down the wall to feed the washbowl so nothing i can think will effect it- anyway since this time - when you turn the hot water tap on (pipe that was effected) we get a clunking noise (nothing major as the hot water flows through) its fine when cold water is running through the same tap/pipe

as soon as the hot water comes through and the clunking stops flow gets better

any ideas please??!! - nothing major more annoying than anything???!!

dad who is a plumber advised it could be air getting trapped/but even he didnt know any answers??!!
anyone please?!

What sort of tap is it?
Monobloc or single tap, does it require 1/4 turn only or several turns to get water?

there normal basin taps/ compete with new inners! (as i thought this might help)

made no difference - water comes out ok with just a little turn - just increases even more when the clunking / hot water flows through the tap
