I have a UF system which is behaving oddly and no-one seems to be able to figure it out. All sorts of odd things happen, I'll try to explain a couple.
The controls are Uponor, the house is on two floors. Each floor has a UP 36 controller attached to outside and pipe sensors (the ground floor is screed, the first is wooden).
There is a manifold on each floor with three thermostats on each.
If we first turn all stats down so that nowhere is calling for heat then turn up stat 1 on the ground floor, the appropriate actuator opens but, no matter how long you wait, there is no flow through the return valve.
If we turn them all back down again then turn up any stat on the first floor, we see exactly the same behaviour with the first floor actuators/flow. More puzzlingly however we now see flow through the return valve of one of the downstairs loops.
To add to this, this flow just described always happens immediately - I believe that the stats (T35) are not interrogated continually by the controller and that nothing should be immediate.
It's tempting to think that the whole thing has just been wired up very badly, but some of these problems seem to me (in my limited understanding) to be physically impossible. Also we've had it checked out by several people who can't seem to find the cause.
Any ideas?
