Hi,

I'm looking to have a composite front door fitted and have been told the door can be done buth they would have to shave it from the bottom by a few cms.

This isn't a problem for me and I don't the think the scale would look out of place being a bit shorter but are there any issues with chopping a composite door to size? I thought they came in set sizes and the frames were made to fit?

thanks

Sounds a bit strange to me, should be made to measure in the frame.

Is there a terminology confusion here or has the door already been made?

As said, doors are made to measure.

The company said it only receives slabs of certain sizes for composite door and to fit our void would require a few cms being chopped off the bottom of it.

Is that common practice?

Door slabs vary throughout different companies, What is the overall door height??
