gas fittings, can i use compression fittings on copper pipes for gas or do they need to be soldered, i only intend to remove 1.5 meters of lead piping that is then joined to a copper feed (dont ask me why it is fitted like this your guess is as good as mine) i then get a certified fitter to conect my gas hob???

define accessible,what is accessible for a dwalf is not always accessible to a six foot person same as 40ft in the air is accessible with a cherry picker, let the gas man remove the lead and correctly install your hob with the correct fittings,sorry i should add compression fitting can be used if they are accessible
