I have a computer which seems to freeze up after 10 to 15 minutes of use. What normally happens is that the computer screen turns off and recieves no signal or the screen just freezes. It's connected to the internet and my virus protection (Free) is up to date. What could be the problem.

might be an inadequate power supply problem? Is it getting very hot after 10 mins?

Open the base unit, check that all the fans are spinning when you turn it on.

Heat gets my vote. Check your fans aren't all clogged up with dust/fluff. Also could be that one of the fans has come loose.

I've seen duff memory do that too. If you got two sticks take one out and swap the slots and see if it makes any difference with various combinations. Also run Memtest86.

Which computer which screen which version of Windows is there any disk activity when you lose the display?
