I installed this a few years ago and it works fine (with the standard exception of sometimes not getting notifications which I understand is a server issue).

Yesterday I installed some Ring cameras and am getting poor wifi on one of them, the layout of the house means that the alarm is about halfway between the router and this camera, although neither are particularly far away.

I've used a site survey tool to determine that Comwifi is transmitting it's network on the same channel as the 2.4Ghz network that my house is on and at the camera with poor wifi the signal is stronger.

There is a channel option in the setup for Comwifi but it doesn't seem to result in a change to the actual channel it transmits the network on, it just mirrors the main network in the house.

Is this by design, is there anything I can do to lessen the interference here?

Texecom servers appear to get 99+% of the systems messages from Tests I have been involved in with Texecom.

The sending of notifications to smart devices, depends on there settings, particularly power saving modes and sleeping.

The comwifi wasn't around long before it was discontinued.

I would look at a wifi booster for your ring camera.
