Evening guys,

I'm raging, fitted a concealed grohe shower valve, similar to this one;
https://www.showerspares.com/search/grohe_rapido_t_universal_thermostatic_mixer_valve_35500_000/

I seem to have got my tolerances wrong at the time of fitting it,

Now I have tiled and tried to fit the cover plate and two dial levers it would appear as though the valve has been set too far back.....

Has anyone encountered this before, if so have you any solutions!?!?!?!

I really don't want to have to hack out the whole wall

Any suggestions appreciated......

Measure twice, cut once :D

I personally have never made a mistake like that :lol:

Seriously, get the tiles off and do it properly.

i'm afraid you've dropped a clanger and have already mentioned the only solution in your original post.

Ah lads it's brutal!!!!

I am the biggest advocate of measure twice, cut once....

I wouldn't mind but even when I cut the blue plastic box back I was within the tolerance lines,

Six pints of peroni in and I'm thinking of the seventh or firing up the angle grinder......

(P.S. Never drink and grind, it's not good for the fingers)
