Hi guys

I'm planning to drill a 5 inch hole through my kitchen wall to duct my kitchen hood to the outside. I understand that there is a double brick wall with cavity in between.

My concern is if after installing the duct and vent, moisture or rain may seep through the gap around the hole between the outside of the duct tube and the bricks, which will then enter into the cavity. Does anyone have any experience and could give guidance on what must be done with which tools or materials to use to prevent any moisture or rain entering into the cavity?

Thanks

Drill hole on slight incline so water is not encouraged to enter.Line hole and vent cover should ensure correct operation.
