Hi all,

I have two projects in the near future. The first is to erect a fence in the back garden, the other to repoint certain areas of my house. What I need to know is:

What is the best mix for concreting fence posts? Would it be easier to just buy some Postcrete?

and

What is the recommended mix for pointing?

Nice and easy, thanks for your help! :D

Postcrete is easy to use, just pour it into the hole then top up with water and it fast setting. Not sure if this is economical way of doing this.If not you can use 3/4 ballast + cement (4:1 ratio) and hard work unless you got a cement mixer.

For repointing use soft wash sand + cement (3:1 ratio)
