I am constructing some steps that will go from my deck down to the garden. The drop is about 400mm and I plan to have this in 2 steps (possibly 3 if the drop is slightly greater). Rather than mess about with some form of timber structure I am thinking if forming them in blockwork and then mass filling with concrete and cladding with some sort of stone.
Should I just fill or void former then fill. If the later how much coverage is required over the foam slabs?
