I need to drill into a very hard concrete fence post to fasten my gate hinges to. I have tried a new Bosch drill bit but not very good. It was trying but having to drill 8 holes it would take for ever. Please any suggestions??

You could do with a sds hammer drill, surprised your bosch isn't managing it.
Remember there's steel re-enforcement running through the post, If you've hit one of them (normally 4 rods) the drill won't do a thing it will just spin and get very hot.

SDS plus with Dewalt Extreme 2 bit, should even get through the rebar.

My Bosch blue sds p1$$es through fence posts. Are you using an sds drill?

The rebar is in the four corners of the post and not in the middle.

I'd be a bit wary of drilling something like that incase it were to crack :?

If there are any existing holes in the post then bolt a timber to it. Other wise 3 holes and some coach bolts would do same job. Can't see a need for 8 holes.
