Ive pulled up the carpet in my house and the concrete floor is cracked this is due to the soil underneath. I think this is what is causing some of the damp in the walls. Is there anyway of fixing this damp problem withought pulling all the floor up. Someone has suggested that i take up about a foot from the wall all around put a waterproof membrane down then concrete back over then treat the whole floor with a waterproof treatment. Hope someone can help

All things crack. Whether the floor has a problem or not depends on a lot of things

Without a better description or photos or something, then advice will be impossible
